How to get to La Plata

– From Ezeiza Airport

To take a bus you’ll need to buy a “SUBE” card. The SUBE can also be used in subway and trains (also cash accepted). The card can be bought and charged in kiosks and stores that show the corresponding sign. It costs around $90.

Taxi: You’ll find taxi stands right after you exit baggage controls. Taxiezeiza has convenient prices (To La Plata: about $3100. To downtown Buenos Aires: $1600). Tienda León charges $490 to downtown Buenos Aires. Remis Transfer Express charges $4175 to La Plata.

Bus: Tienda León La Plata runs bus services. They need to be booked in advance. Price: $1200 to La Plata. They offer discounts to groups and in return tickets. You can contact/book by email at laplata@tiendaleon.com.ar or you can check their website. Their time table is the following:

EZE-LP: 6:00, 8:30, 11:00, 14:30, 20:00, 22:30.

LP-EZE: 2:00, 4:30, 8:30, 12:30, 16:30, 18:30.

– From Aeroparque Airport

Taxi: They stop on the curb outside the terminal. Be careful with scams. Ask them to put on the meter. Remis Transfer Express runs taxi services. It need to be booked in advance. Price: $3550 to La Plata.

Bus: take a taxi or buses 33 or 45 to Retiro bus terminal. From Retiro take “Misión Buenos Aires” or “Costera Metropolitana” to la Plata (via Autopista). You should pay the buses with SUBE card. Buses from Retiro to La Plata take about 1:30 hours. They will leave you at the La Plata bus station in Streets 4 and 42.

Train: take a taxi or buses 33 or 45 to Retiro bus terminal. From Retiro take the metro C line to Consitución train station. Then you need to take a train to La Plata. They will leave you at the La Plata train station in Streets 1 and 44. Check their time table.
